Dementia Care

Our dementia care package is tailored to you or your loved ones changing care needs. Dementia is a syndrome associated with ongoing decline in brain function. Typical symptoms include memory loss, difficulties doing daily living tasks, sluggish movement and poor judgment, low moods, incoherent speech and language and problems with understanding.

Though clinical studies on a cure are ongoing it is important to have in place care provision that is person centred and flexible. As dementia affects a person’s mental and physical abilities, planning and organising tasks will become burdensome or may present a problem for you or your loved ones.

Research data shows there are more than 850,000 people in the UK living with dementia. 1 in 14 people over the age of 65 have dementia, and the condition affects 1 in 6 people over 80. It is estimated that by 2025 more than 1 million people will be living with dementia.

At Mount Hill Care we recognise the need to show compassion and empathy to all our clients, and it is important that no one is left behind. Our carers will support you or your loved one with specific personal care needs, liaising with other care professionals involved in your care plan, medication support, and companionship.

Please get in touch with us to discuss further what dementia care needs you require, and we will be happy to help and guide you.
